Our new 2020 calendar line is up and available for your custom imprint! We’re ready for the new year!

We pared the calendars down this year to make it easier to order. In the past there just was too much to choose from. What we did was take our most popular calendars, the ones people buy the most often and we set up one page, rather than the various pages we used to have. This will make it easier to scan the images for the theme you prefer and you can order that way.

Paper Mouse Pads; all the rage!

Paper Mouse Pads are the newest thing in our product line. Surprisingly, it seems as if most people use their cell phones to browse the internet, but desktop computers are still the main instrument for that in offices. Millions of people all over the world use their desktop computers to conduct business and of course, mouse pads are used along with the computers.

Our new concept is the best of two worlds – mouse pads and writing pads. They come 50 sheets per mouse pad, are the standard mouse pad size – 8.5″ x 7.25″. The paper is 60# Offset and contains 30% Post-Consumer Recycled Fiber. There is a chipboard backing.

The paper mouse pads are great promotional items and are used daily. They’re convenient and fun and you can anything you like printed on them in full color with a full bleed, all included in the cost.

A new way of ordering printing online

postits23We’ve noticed that people place their printing orders differently online. It changed in the last few years, I’m not sure when or why, but it’s reversed.

It used to be that people would order items on our site, TheDiscountPrinter.com, you know, custom printed pens or custom printed post it notes, they would go through the shopping cart process, then send us their art for printing. We would send them a proof, get their approval and we would print the items. Now it’s reversed.

Now, people email us, bypassing the ordering and shopping cart process. They send us their art via email and a note that says, “please print 1000 custom printed post it notes” or “Please print 2500 personalized paper cups” and they attach the artwork. We then will take the art or sometimes it’s just text, and we’ll make up a proof, put it together with an online invoice personally made for their order and we’ll send the customer a link. They then complete the order that way.

We have been printing custom post its and custom pens and party cups and things for over 35 years and things have changed so much in that time. So as it stand now, anyone can easily send us their promotional items order via email and we’ll take it from there.

The latest craze is putting your brand on paper cups; for every occasion

We’ve been receiving a lot of orders lately for printed paper cups, but they aren’t all for coffee shops. While we have many coffee companies and coffee shops as clients, we also print paper cups for so many other places.

We do many for fashion houses believe it or not. They use the cups for their many fashion shows and events, they have their name and brand displayed on the cups.

We have one law firm client in Boston, that orders thousands of cups every couple of month. That’s a lot of cups! They tell us they have a lot of clients who pass through their office and enjoy coffee in the branded cups.

We have a dentist client who orders paper cups a few times a year with his brand printed on them. They really are a great marketing tool for any event, especially conventions and offices. And many colleges use them at recruiting events.

Wedding parties use the personalized cups, too, with the bride and grooms’ names on them along with the wedding date. They are  a nice classy touch added to all events. We were just at a recent Comic Con and they had super hero paper cups all over the place!

We offer low quantity minimums and sell at wholesale prices to everyone. Our greatest achievement these last few years is making and printing full color paper cups. For many years our clients asked for these and now we offer them.

custom printed sunglassesFor years we sold thousands of these to college fraternities and sororities, we couldn’t keep up with demand. We couldn’t keep them in stock! These are some of them at left, they come in 11 different bright colors.

Now the frat guys still purchase them but we sell a lot to all sorts of businesses. Every time I head out to an event – a beer fest, a concert, an arts festival, someone is giving out free sunglasses – they are a perfect promotion, people love them and they wear them and your image and brand is right there on their heads for all to see!

Heck, we sell them, but we always end up taking a pair at these events and wearing and using them ourselves! You can never have enough sunglasses.

I think it’s interesting about the phases of life and things that are popular and fads at times, like the sunglasses and the college students about 10 years ago. I’m not sure what the latest fad is now, but maybe these college students from 10 years ago are the ones running businesses now and they are the ones purchasing the sunglasses for their current situations – making them go full circle! You know, their college memories are now part of their business promotions! Love that thought.
